For 'Puca', an imaginative short film by director Tanja Böning, a custom typography and an unconventional title design were developed. The sharp and aggressive shapes of the designed typeface reflect the diabolic character of Puca. The elaborate title animation appears destructive and handmade, and thus fits seamlessly into the deliberately messy look of the film.
14-year-old Jana escapes life with her grandmother through her imagination. She invents Puca, a lascivious youth who casts dazzling, whimsical scenes into Jana's life: images from a present of her everyday life - colorful, exotic and garish. But Puca turns out to be diabolical. His intention is to lure Jana into a fascinating but threatening world.
